My name is Jake Ferruci. I own and run JSF Paving & Construction, a driveway company and landscaping company from Farnham. Hindhead is one of my many key service areas and I already have an established portfolio of customers and clients in this charming Surrey village. It is always a pleasant experience to meet newcomers to my business, and to help them in the same way as I have already helped countless customers since back in 2017.
On this page, I answer your questions about groundworks, block paving, new tarmac driveways, patio laying and garden fencing construction.
If you come from Hindhead and have an interest in my services, please feel free to get in touch. I offer free visits, surveys, consultations and quotations, always without obligation, and I make you the most important part of my business. At JSF Paving & Construction, the customer always comes first.
Are there benefits to using a combined service provider?
Absolutely! If you have a large project and need to hire a driveway company to install a surface, and then hire in another landscaping company to tend to the soft elements, you will have to deal with two businesses and two points of contact. Choose my family-run business, and I will deliver a complete inhouse service where I do all the work myself or use a trusted subcontractor network.
Benefits to using a one-stop service include full management over the project cost, timescale, budget, quality and, of course, overall delivery standards.
How important are groundworks to an installation project?
A surfacing project in Hindhead will only ever be as good as the work I put into preparation. My groundworks service covers clearance of the site, bulk excavation, creating a sub-base, compacting the workspace and mixing mortar so your choice of surface bonds and stabilises. If required to, I can arrange for an operative to attend site with a mini digger for excavating.
I take the groundworks phase seriously and only use aggregates of superior quality on my driveway, garden patio and garden paving installations.
Should I use block paving or tarmac for a new driveway?
Most of my installations focus on block paving and tarmac driveways. Those with a bigger budget and more luxurious tastes can opt for block paving in a choice of unit sizes and shades. Pavers allow me to work with a wide choice of patterns and, in the event of damage or the need for another contractor to work on underground utilities, I can lift and replace units individually.
A tarmac driveway might be a better option for your Hindhead property if you have a smaller budget or need me to resurface over existing tarmac.
Why should I consider your patio laying service?
Block paving is also a popular choice for garden patios, but I can work with other materials including traditional flagstones and natural stone slabs. I personally enjoy patio laying because I get so much pleasure out of my own installation. I want you to have the same experience, and to use your new patio as a relaxation space, a social hub or somewhere to entertain friends.
Again, my patio laying service includes the provision of groundworks and I always apply a protective sealant, if it is needed, after installation.
Does garden fencing offer more than just boundary marking?
Naturally, customers use my combined driveway company and landscaping company for demarcation and garden fencing is an obvious way to show clear boundaries. However, many of my customers in Hindhead have their own reasons for installing a fence. Some want more privacy and security, but others may own children or pets and need a way to safely contain them.
Whatever your reasons for having garden fencing erected, I only use timber panels which have been pressure-treated to maintain their condition.
